Top 5

Alice Springs is a proven conference destination with world class facilities to match the awe-inspiring natural environment and array of activities which will keep delegates entertained for the duration of the conference and beyond.

The conference will take in the best the destination has to offer, with a sampling of the ancient indigenous culture of the Arrernte people through to the pioneering days of Alice Springs and the modern day. Delegates will be exposed to experiences and activities that are unique to the Northern Territory.

The conference will be based at the Alice Springs Convention Centre which is located in easy walking distance to most hotels, the CBD and also the main entertainment hub at Lasseters Hotel Casino.

Centre manager Scott Lovett said “We are delighted to have the opportunity to host the MEA 2008 conference in our backyard. This conference win was a combined effort from many local operators in conjunction with the Northern Territory Convention Bureau. It will give us a great opportunity to showcase our unique and fabulous destination, whilst experiencing our famous Territorian hospitality.”

Delegates are encouraged to explore all that the Northern Territory has to offer by participating in a range of pre and post conference tours. This is an ideal opportunity to discover the wider Alice Springs region or head out to the iconic Uluru (Ayers Rock), the World Heritage listed sights of Kakadu National Park or tropical harbour-side Darwin.
