The Wild West
With first-class accommodation in the heart of Strahan, cruises into World Heritage wilderness, steam train rides into history and a range of new signature experiences being introduced, Tasmania’s West Coast awaits your next conference or incentive group.

Federal Group has launched a new, intimate and engaging luxury experience in Strahan ideal for incentive groups.

The Piners and Miners guided tour takes a maximum of eight guests by hi-rail car (a four-wheel drive converted into a rail car) on the West Coast Wilderness Railway track. Your comfortably appointed vehicle then transforms into a 4WD for the spectacular drive to the Bird River Track. Walk the track down to Kelly Basin, site of the old copper mining port of East Pillinger. Enjoy picnic lunch then explore the ruins before returning to Strahan by cruise boat.

Cruise the Derwent
Wrest Point has partnered with the luxury 62ft cruising yacht Helsal IV to introduce a new, indulgent experience for Hobart. Guests can now sail the wide expanses of the Derwent River with a cruise aboard the French-built yacht, which departs daily from Wrest Point.

Sip award-winning Tasmanian sparkling and sample the finest local produce while you explore the magnificent river, keeping your eyes open for the dolphins, whales and seals that frequent these waters.

The luxurious interior features leather seating, sleeping berths with their own ensuites and all the comforts to allow a relaxing day on the water.

For details on how the Federal Group can make your meeting or event memorable contact Erin Dooley on (03) 6225 7563 or email conference.sales@federalgroup.com.au.
