Pattaya, Thailand – The multi award-winning Royal Cliff Beach Resort and the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), a world-class convention and exhibition facility of the Resort, make a unique and unbeatable combination as endorsed by the recent elevation of the 5-star property to the coveted “Travel Hall of Fame” at the TTG Travel Awards 2006.

Induction into the Travel Hall of Fame is an accolade given only if an organisation has won at least 10 awards in TTG Travel Awards instituted by the Travel Trade Gazette Asia (TTG Asia) and the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).

Since the inception of the Awards 17 years ago, the Royal Cliff Beach Resort has won 11 such awards – the Best Resort Hotel - Asia Pacific award for eight consecutive years from 1989 and the Best Meetings & Conventions Hotel award in 2002, 2004 and 2005.

In recognition of this stellar achievement, the Resort was inducted into the Travel Hall of Fame, becoming the first representative from Thailand and the first Hotel in all of Asia to be admitted. So far, only three organisations in the world have achieved this elevation. The prestigious recognition was accorded to the Resort based on the input of industry peers.

The Royal Cliff Beach Resort is a destination in its own right, comprising four 5-star hotels offering close to 1,100 rooms and suites, a host of dining and recreational facilities and the state of the art facility – PEACH.

The 5 star hotel rooms are only a few minutes walk from the Convention Centre and 5-star Food and Beverage and a team of 1500 trained professionals is on hand to ensure the success of any event. The team is supplemented by a group of multi-lingual Event Managers who provide all the support any organiser needs for an enjoyable and problem-free event.
With a host of leisure facilities on site – including 5 swimming pools, 7 tennis courts, 2 squash courts, 2 spas, 10 restaurants and 5 lively bars – delegates also benefit from numerous opportunities for relaxing and socialising without having to leave the Resort.
Pattaya is the closest resort city to Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok’s new airport, which began operations in September 2006. Pattaya’s proximity to the new airport and the vast range of activities the city and its surrounding areas offer including an array of shopping and cultural attractions, sporting activities and 18 golf courses, make it the perfect destination for all types of MICE events.

For enquiries about Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall, please contact Director of Operations & Sales – PEACH Mr. Trevor McCartney
(trevor@royalcliff.com). For more information about the Royal Cliff Beach Resort or its MICE-related facilities and services, the Resort’s Senior Sales Manager International – MICE Mr. Michael Swart (michael@royalcliff.com) can be contacted.
