Designed to provide meeting planners an easier way of doing business, the well-received ‘Meetings at Meritus’ programme for luxury Asian brand Meritus Hotels & Resorts was launched in October this year, offering a comprehensive set of useful tools and quality service standards to meeting planners.
The inspiration of Meetings at Meritus revolves around the delivery of its seven essential service standards to ensure the success of every MICE event that is held at its properties strategically located in key spots of the Asia Pacific region.

Being smaller in portfolio by comparison to its competitors, Meritus leverages on the many benefits that come with its size.

‘Because we are small, we are able to listen more and respond quicker… be more creative and flexible in our product and service offerings in order to cater to the various needs of the MICE market.’
commented Hidey Yanaka, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, for the group. From a next business day response time to ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP), Global Meetings Desks around the world and just one contact point for the customer to liaise on all their needs, Meritus is setting tough standards on itself so as to provide ease and pleasure of having events hosted at its properties.

One key tool for meeting planners is the online information available on Meritus’ website. The Meetings section saves planners’ time as it provides a facility search on venue specifications, floor plans viewing as well as a request for proposal form, all with a click of the button. Not just displaying hard facts, the webpage also presents rich, value-added content from helpful tips by independent sources to a comprehensive event checklist, useful especially for first-timers.

An interesting feature of the Meetings’ web section is its highlights on specific dates to enjoy special deals at Meritus’ properties, allowing users to plan future events around these dates to save costs. In addition, the value-added online feature - ‘Never miss a thing’ section covering destination information such as places of attractions and things to do surrounding each of the properties is a good resource tool for the all-rounded event.

To mark the launch of the programme, the group is rewarding online bookers with a complimentary ‘Weekends at Meritus’ package for every meeting booking that materialises and is offering attractive Bed & Breakfast rates in Singapore, Malaysia and China from US$48 between the period of October 11, 2006 to June 30, 2007.
