PURPOSE:
sales and marketing conference of Essilor management team.

WHERE: Breakfree Aanuka Beach Resort. Most of the delegates were accommodated in two-bedroom villas except for VIPs who were accommodated in the one- bedroom resort bures.

WHAT YOU DID: The time was split between holding business reviews, management meetings and multiple training sessions. Resort spa villas were converted into training rooms to hold separate sessions. The first night’s dinner was an informal welcome dinner by the poolside with a Hawaiian theme. Tropical daiquiris were presented on arrival, with the meal served buffet style. The second night was held in the Lagoon Room, and sponsored by Transitions Optical. The third night was again a casual affair, this time held at the lower Casay Decks. A jukebox was utilised for this event.
Team-building also played a part of the conference. The Zip Circus experience was described by the group as “the best team-building we have had so far. The team was really competitive about the different activities which were given to them and we even had quite a few enthusiastic members try the trapeze. Location being close to the resort was handy to move our group”.

SPECIAL TOUCHES: Staff at Aanuka were really friendly and always ready to help out. Special thanks was made to Linda Wool the conference coordinator for her superb coordination of the event.

CLIENT'S COMMENTS : Location was great and the staff were very helpful. Resort has a good mix of accommodation rooms which gives more choice. Good weather [and] excellent team-building. [The] resort was self sufficient in terms of planning for conferencing and dinner options. We did not have to venture out of the resort except for team-building and this was a time saver for us, as we had a very busy schedule.
