Imagine stepping out of a conference onto a picturesque white sandy beach, the sun on your face and a cocktail in hand. At Sheraton Mirage Resort and Spa on the Gold Coast this is a reality every time your group concludes their meetings for the day.

And just when you thought it couldn’t possibly get any more enticing, this resort is offering event planners the chance to win a $5000 Myer shopping spree. All that organisers have to do is book an event during 2008 with more than 100 room nights before July 31, 2008, and they are guaranteed a gift card of $100 to spend at Myer, as well as being placed in the draw to win the major prize. This competition will be drawn on December 1, 2008 and would be the perfect bonus to end your year of events.

The Gold Coast’s only five-star luxury accommodation on the beach, Sheraton Mirage offers delegates a high standard of hospitality. The accommodation itself is the largest lead-in room type in the area, and with flexible bedding options, guests have the option of king or twin rooms.
As well as a perfect venue for meetings or incentives, adventure and fine dining aren’t too far away either, with a sky-bridge linking the resort to the Marina Mirage. And don’t forget Sea World is just a stroll down the road.

The Sheraton Mirage offers event planners an exquisite array of function venues and are all featured on one level of the resort. The Mirage Grand Ballroom offers a pillarless meeting space for up to 1000 guests, which can be used as one large space or broken down into smaller meeting rooms. The Mirage Grand Terrace also offers an inviting space, with views of the lagoon. With natural light this is perfect for morning/afternoon teas, breakouts or cocktail functions.

Another option is the Boardroom which, as well as being bathed in natural light, also features picturesque views of the lagoon. And after that meeting, cocktail function or conference why not continue festivities into the night at the Rolls Room, former resort nightclub available for hire until late.

If it’s time to start planning your next event, then why not also start thinking about what you’re going to buy with that Myer card, and possibly that $5000 shopping spree. Competition terms and conditions apply. For further information visit: www.sheraton.com/goldcoast. />
