At Solution RED, we pride ourselves on turning every meeting and event, regardless of size, into a “show”. We do this by creating an environment combining the best in vision, audio, stage and set design in new and creative ways. Mike Hall, Solution RED general manager, explains that “constant research, development and experimentation means we can challenge traditional use of existing technology. New technology doesn’t always need to be that – by being clever, we can use existing technology in new and creative ways to create a different look or idea for your next event”.

At a recent conference, integrating vision into a custom-built set gave a week long conference six different looks using multiple projectors. This is one of Solution RED’s key strengths - integrating technical development with set design and construction, and providing custom graphic content. For this particular conference, it was vital that Solution RED created the content so that the graphics matched the shape and size of the set.

The ultimate aim of event staging is to create an experience that evokes an emotional response from your guests. The technical aspects of an event should be designed in such a way as to enhance that experience and focus attention on the message, be that delivered either in a traditional manner or in an exciting new way. Integrating several technologies is one way of getting that message across. The same technologies can also be used to create an exciting spectacle or to transform an otherwise plain venue into a room of sheer beauty. At Solution RED, our passion in designing and creating events is what makes the Solution RED journey a memorable experience.

As well as finding new ways to use established technology, Solution RED continues to invest in new technology. One of the company’s more recent purchases is a “Turbo” Intelligent Digital Disk Recorder (iDDR) that leverages digital storage, letting you load content as audio or video, or as files from removable media. It becomes a very flexible single platform to edit, manage, and arrange media content into play lists. With such a flexible tool, media can be seamlessly inserted into an event – whether it be walk-in music, a PowerPoint presentation or a video insert – all from the one machine, and all at the touch of a button.

Martin Featherston, Solution RED’s technical director reminds us that “having the people with the ability to get the best out of such advanced equipment is of paramount importance. There can often be a conflict between the creative technical and themeing design of an event, and that is where the experience of Tim Newman, Solution RED’s lighting and technical designer, is vital to ensure an event goes together smoothly”.
