Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) and its sister-show, Corporate Travel World Asia-Pacific (CTW) are gearing up for a double celebration when they turn 15 and 10 respectively. IT&CMA and CTW are said to have successfully promoted the Asia-Pacific’s robust meetings and corporate travel industries and facilitated cross-border trade and information exchange between the region and the world.

Managing director of TTG Asia Media, Darren Ng, says the double celebration is “a big pat on the back we give to all who have worked to make Asia-Pacific’s MICE and business travel the success stories they are today.

“The heart of our celebrations will be to commemorate Asia’s treasure trove of exotic destinations. And most importantly, we are committed to growing to greater heights to continue being the leading business and education platform in Asia-Pacific for many more years to come.”
The 2007 event is being themed ‘Celebrating the Treasures of Asia’, and is expected to attract more than 2000 industry professionals from throughout Asia and around the world.
“We have lined up some exciting activities to mark these two milestones and also to thank our customers for their invaluable support all these years. Delegates can look forward to special experiences at IT&CMA and CTW this October.”

The so-called “Celebration Package” included a 50 per cent discount to hosted buyers who registered prior to April 30, a “Commemorative Album” for delegates to walk down memory lane, an online “Guestbook” for individuals to express their well wishes, a “Memorabilia Collection” where delegates who bring memorabilia from past shows will be rewarded with attractive prizes, a “Treasure Hunt” during the events, and more.

New venue
The 2007 event will be held in the brand new Central World Hotel and Convention Centre located in the heart of Bangkok’s central business district. One of the largest properties in the Asia-Pacific region, this world-class venue boasts a convention and meeting facility of more than 10,000 square metres with a ceiling height of 13.5 metres, and the ability to accommodate up to 6000 delegates in a single pillarless environment.

“The venue is a perfect choice this year as it coincides with the year-long celebrations of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 80th birthday in December and his 61st accession to the throne,” Mr Ng said. The show organiser is working with host country Thailand and other destinations to organise pre- and post-show tours to let delegates discover the treasures of Asia-Pacific. Delegates can also network and relax in style at a number of hosted social functions being organised.

Having staged the trade shows in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and now Thailand, IT&CMA and CTW is privileged to receive support from partners Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) and national carrier Thai Airways International (THAI).
