The newly rebranded Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney recently welcomed guests to a special event “Indulge at Amora” with Angsana Spa managed by Banyan Tree Group and Eminence, hand-made organic skin care of Hungary. Guests were greeted with lychee martinis and Asian-inspired canapés, and had the opportunity to get a massage by one of the experienced Thai therapists while sampling the range of Eminence products with organic ingredients such as apricot, sour cherry and honeydew.

Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics Displays celebrated their 85th birthday in spectacular style with a cocktail party at the Sydney Opera House and a large scale fireworks display fired from barges on Sydney Harbour. Industry players were pleased to be treated to an NT experience when they joined NT Convention Bureau and the locals behind the Northern Territory C&I industry for a series of cocktail functions held last month. Stopping at Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, NT Conventions on Tour showcased some of the quality experiences and world-class facilities that the NT has to offer over nibbles and wine.

Lehman and Associates hosted a corporate day at Belgenny Farm located at the historic Camden Park Estate showcasing what corporate and incentive groups can experience in a unique rural environment. Lehman and Associates holds the contract for organising corporate events at the property.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has launched its inaugural flight from Sydney to the airline’s base in Abu Dhabi. The media event was held on the tarmac at Sydney Airport, with journalists transported to the marquee by limousines from the CBD. Etihad Airways chief executive, James Hogan, told guests he was delighted to launch the new service, with plans for increasing frequency already on the cards.
 Royal Randwick Racecourse played host to the Tooheys New Easter Carnival recently and invited some key event planners and operators to the ‘Fashion Marquee’ at trackside to enjoy the day.
