The Orange Group is working closely with international and local clients on unique projects for the Rugby World Cup 2011.
When the Rugby World Cup kicks off this year the teams won’t be the only ones who have worked hard in the lead up. The Orange Group has been working on major projects for the games with both international and local clients to ensure the event is an unforgettable experience for all sponsors and partners.
The company has taken on the concept, design and delivery of more than 50 corporate boxes; the hospitality spaces and audiovisual requirements for the sponsor and partner areas in the Auckland and Wellington stadiums; non-mass media marketing and branded experiences in the Auckland and Christchurch fan zones; and a major component of Auckland’s fan zone, The Cloud.
“It’s all on at Orange!” says Anne Wentworth of The Orange Group.
“Since last year, Orange Productions has won multiple highly contested tenders including the IMG contract for The Rugby World Cup 2011. This involves the design and construction of all elements for the hospitality sector for worldwide partners at the Auckland and Wellington stadiums.
“Orange is working directly with worldwide partners DHL, MasterCard, Heineken and ANZ to provide for their Rugby World Cup events and brand activations including the design and delivery of hospitality spaces.”
The Orange Group has been working with major international clients from America, Australia and Europe.
“The main difference for our Rugby World Cup 2011 clients is the level of importance for showcasing their brands on an international stage through one of the world’s largest sporting events,” Ms Wentworth explains.
“We understand this and love the challenge of working with many new clients from around the world. It’s a chance for Orange to deliver on an international stage.”
While many details of design will remain confidential until the opening, the group has devised a concept that incorporates New Zealand’s contemporary and regional elements. Within this theme, the individual areas of each partner or sponsor have been custom-designed and branded for individuality.
Company creative director, Stu Robertson, says with all the extra business the team atmosphere is buzzing.
“We’re fully equipped and ready to take more bookings, as we still have the talents of our events management team, with more new furniture ready to hire and hundreds of props at our fingertips. We’re ready to move at a moment’s notice – and all with lots of smiles!”
Along with the recent promotion of Keiran Frost to general manager, The Orange Group’s Rugby World Cup project team has welcomed two more fulltime project managers along with new team members to contribute to the major projects, and take on the new ones that continue to flood in.
“It has been an incredible honour and pleasure working on all the Rugby World Cup contracts Orange has and something our team will remember forever. The event has given the team an opportunity to work with and deliver for truly great international brands,” Ms Wentworth said.
