The hotel has finished its first phase of an extensive US$20 million refurbishment program. Guests now experience new guest rooms and suites featuring new and premium furniture, fittings, artwork and a contemporary color scheme of silver, natural wood and mirrored accents.

Enhanced amenities include ergonomic seating work area, LCD TV, DVD player, iPod docking station, high-end Sealy mattress, double glazed windows, high-speed internet access, two-line IDD telephone with voice mail, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and marble-decorated bathroom with separate bath tub and rain shower unit, designer vanity counter and enhanced lighting.

As a further strategy to position the venue as Bangkok’s leading meetings and events property, the InterContinental Convention Centre has also undergone extensive refurbishment. The Grand Ballroom has three built-in digital VDO cameras to facilitate live VDO streaming and recording, an intelligent lighting system that projects up to 16 million colors, and remote controlled pin spotlights and chiffon columns with custom back-lighting. The entire ceiling’s load points have been increased to facilitate the display of heavy exhibits.

In addition to the technology enhancements, the entire fourth floor, including the Grand Ballroom, Pinnacle Hall, President Rooms, and foyer areas, have all received a complete renovation. Guests will enjoy contemporary and comfortable furniture, modern banquet equipment, and warm accommodating décor.

Other highlights at the InterContinental Convention Centre include personalised service from the hotel’s dedicated conference concierge team, and a complimentary Events Café for freshly made espresso, tea and snacks.

When staying in a newly-renovated Club InterContinental room or suite, a range of services will be provided exclusively for guests. Other facilities offered include a swimming pool on the roof top, a fitness centre with panoramic views of Bangkok, and the Royal Health Spa with a complete range of massages and spa treatments.
